Each week we do a market wrap up to keep you up to speed on your retirement fund, your 401(k), your IRA and any other investment vehicles you might have.

Markets are setting new records and the economy is very strong. Commodities are also looking good in spite of tariff and trade fears.

Thanks to a 4.1 percent growth in GDP and the European Union capitulating on trade the US stock market took off as did the European markets.

Callers were asked to call about how much the tax cuts hurt or helped individuals. Several called and one caller talked about the amounts a friend saved.

Mike takes on an explanation of National Debt vs. Deficits. Shane weighed in on why trade works in a capitalist country like the USA.

Each week Shane brings us up to date on the latest market news. We’re still up for the year but the tariff talks are beginning to weaken steel and aluminum.

A caller wanted to know how to debate a friend about tariffs. Shane gave him the argument to use.

Before the market wrap up Tom, Shane and City Commissioner Jeff Krauss took listeners calls about deficits, government spending and the tax cuts.

Elections were a topic as the primary season begins. Will the Senate or House win or lose seats? Shane believes Republican’s will hold both and gain seats.
