Jerome John "Jerry" Garcia was an American musician best known for his lead guitar work, singing and songwriting with the band the Grateful Dead. (Wikipedia)

Jerry Garcia was born on August 1st, passed on August 9th. If you look on the calendar that's a full week between. Let's celebrate "Jerry Week."

The band he is most closely associated with, the Grateful Dead, called it quits after 50 years of music in Chicago just a few weeks ago and the 20th remembrance of his passing is Sunday. I thought it would be the right time to feature this amazing man and band. Kenny T, host of KGLT's Dead Show was there in Chicago, he'll check in with us. Dennis McNally is a dear personal friend who happens to be the one time publicist, authorized biographer and general historian for the Grateful Dead. And how could any conversation about Jerry or the Dead be complete with out Mayor Krauss' input?

On the Morning Show this week find conversations with:

Monday:
7 a.m. - Part one of a  four-part conversation with Dennis McNally - Grateful Dead historian

8:30 a.m. - Part two of a four-part conversation with Dennis McNally

Tuesday:

7 a.m. - Part three of a four-part conversation with Dennis McNally

7:30 a.m. - Part four of a four-part conversation with Dennis McNally

Wednesday:

8:30 a.m. - Bozeman Mayor Jeff Krauss

Thursday:

8:30 a.m. - Mr. Kenny T. - KGLT Deadshow Host

I'll pull together a summery of this weeks interviews to explain on Friday at 7 a.m. And as one should expect, some surprises may happen along the way! But the conversation with Dennis McNally shouldn't be missed, he has some news to share.
