Listen to this informative interview with Bozeman City Commissioner Jeff Krauss on annexation, Winco Foods, Costco and Hobby Lobby.

City To Go Ahead With Annexation

Bozeman City Commissioner Jeff Krauss joined the KMMS Morning Soapbox with Tom and Shane to talk about the city commission vote to annex some parts of the county that are completely surrounded by the city of Bozeman.

This annexation will mean that the residents will be forced to pay impact fees, along with costs for water hookup, sewer, sidewalks and any other city requirements.

Winco Foods Lawsuit Settled?

We have it on good authority that the suit between a grocers union and Winco Foods has been settled and that should clear the way for the new store to open in Bozeman. We should expect an announcement from Winco in the coming days.

We also explored the possibility that Costco may be planning to leave Bozeman due to regulations the city is imposing on their expansion plans.

These would include spending a million dollars to redo the intersection to the entrance of the Costco parking lot.

Hobby Lobby Slow Opening

There is much speculation as to why Hobby Lobby is taking so long to open in the Hastings Shopping Center off Main Street.

The most logical is the cleanup of the site due to the ground pollution of a dry cleaner that was previously located in the same space.
