"I always wanted to get the Purple Heart. This was much easier."

- Donald Trump (After accepting the award from a veteran)

I thought this would be the most outrageous comment from the Republican nominee for president I would hear today. After all, the veteran gave him the award of his own free, unexplainable will, other than Trump's own retelling of the veteran's reason: "I have such confidence in you."

I have never served, yet, I know better than to accept badges, pins or medals that represent and tell the story of a service member's career. You just DO NOT take or accept those items, even if gifted to you -- You didn't EARN IT, Donald.

These things MATTER. For crying out loud (we'll get that part in a moment,) even Sean Hannity knows you just don't do that, as Hannity explained on his show Tuesday. The national talk show host retold of offers of awards to him from service members and said he declined all of them.

The thing that caused me pause about candidate Trump today was his dealing with a crying child at his rally in Virginia as he delivered his thoughts on China and trade.

A child in the crowd started to cry, distracting the petulant nominee: He commented, mid remarks:

Don't worry about that baby. I love babies. I love babies. I hear that baby crying, I like it. What a baby. What a beautiful baby.' Trump continued, 'Don't worry about it, you know? It's young and beautiful and healthy, and that's what we want.

Less than one minute later, Trump says:

Actually, I was only kidding, you can get the baby out of here. That's all right. Don't worry. I, I think she really believed me that I love having a baby crying while I'm speaking. That's OK. People don't understand. That's OK.

Yes, you read correctly, this man kicked a baby out of his rally.

And YOU want HIM to be the President of The United States?
