We All Have A Purpose
There’s an old joke that says we all have a purpose in life — even if it’s to be a bad example.
Studies show that the average number of people who attend weddings and funerals is around 250. That’s your sphere of influence.
That’s the approximate number of people who have some influence in your life and you in theirs.
You may not interact with them every day but throughout life these are the people who affect our lives and make us who we are.
You might think you’re your own man but for the most part you’re not.
We all adjust our actions and personality to conform to our comfort zone. Those people we feel comfortable with we invite into our inner circle.
Those we don’t are kicked to the curb. And are wastes of our time.
It’s not that they’re bad people.
They’re just not OUR people. They have no purpose in our eyes.
Now there’s no rule that says that can’t change. You meet someone and you hit it off with him or her. One more influencer added to the mix.
Some Final Thoughts
Have you ever wondered what your purpose is? Are you just here to take up space, go through life, then die?
Sometimes it’s not easy to recognize what your real purpose is. Then again you may not be conscious that you’re already serving a purpose to society.
The old I can’t see the forest for the trees scenario.
Next time you look in the mirror you might say to yourself, “Today I’m going to make a difference.” “Today I have a purpose.”
