Scott Sales, Montana Senate President, was a guest on The KMMS Morning Soapbox with Tom and Shane today. In a KMMS exclusive interview Sales announced his proposed run for Montana Secretary of State replacing Cory Stapleton who is running for Governor of Montana. (Listen to the entire interview below)

Scott has served as both the Speaker of the House in the Montana legislature and also as the President of the Montana Senate.

One of the topics of discussion regarding Sec. of State duties was voting regulations. Mail in versus going to the polls was discussed along with same day registration.

The Montana Legislature meets every two years, and currently has about six weeks left to come up with a budget and the laws that will govern us for the next two years.
