On December 2, 15-year-old Tayla Matte disappeared and authorities have been looking for her ever since. Missoula Police have evidence that Matte is still in Missoula and may be struggling to find basic necessities.

"She was dropped off at school at 8 o'clock in the morning and was last seen at about 2 o'clock in the afternoon before her last class of the day," said Missoula Police Public Information Officer Travis Welsh. "She has not returned to the group home she just checked into and she's only 15 years old. We have reason to believe that she is still in Missoula, but at night she is known to be seeking shelter. We are concerned about her welfare, we are concerned that she may not be able to find food to eat."

Matte is described as a Native American female 5'4" tall. She has medium length brown hair, brown eyes, about 140 pounds. She was last seen wearing jeans and a dark sweatshirt with a red number '23' on it.

Anyone with information about Tayla Matte's whereabouts is advised to call 911.
