Bozeman Affordable Housing Policy
I heard the news story this morning on 1450 KMMS which talked about the City of Bozeman's affordable housing policy. The City wants to spend $30,000 we don't have, to study the city's housing needs. In 2007 Bozeman passed a policy to create more affordable housing in Bozeman, meaning homes under $200,000. A little more than I would call affordable, but of well. Any way, since the policy was passed in 2007, guess how many homes that plan produced. NONE-ZILCH-ZERO-NADA!
And Commissioner Carson Taylor wants to spend $30,000 to re-study the plan that didn't work.
Hey Carson..let the market regulate itself and stop wasting our money.
