GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — A Great Falls woman has pleaded "no contest" to assault with a weapon for stabbing a man who had been charged with child molestation.
The Great Falls Tribune reports Tracy Bossie entered her plea on Friday. Sentencing is set for Oct. 23. The plea agreement says prosecutors do not oppose a probationary sentence.
Bossie was charged with stabbing Wallace Charles Bossie Jr. on Nov. 19, 2016, shortly after he was charged with sexually assaulting two boys.
Fergus County Attorney Kent Sipe handled the prosecution of Wallace Bossie because Cascade County was prosecuting Tracy Bossie. Sipe told The Associated Press he reached a deferred prosecution agreement with Wallace Bossie, in part because the victims were reluctant to move forward with the case.
