What To Do When It All Goes Wrong
Can we face facts? Life is unfair. Life has a mind of it’s own and no matter how hard we try to control it we never fully succeed.
Even if you’re doing something as innocent as deciding to spend the day more than likely life will intervene.
But when you think about it, if life wasn’t that way, imagine how boring our lives would be.
If everything worked out exactly as planned what would we do?
Would we stop making plans and just sit and wait to see what happens?
Oh good, a flat tire. I sure didn’t plan on that happening 50 miles from the nearest tire store at night in a below zero blowing snowstorm.
Yes, it’s true. Life has unusual plans for us.
And there aren’t any warning signs to give you a heads up.
What’s The Answer?
The answer is — roll with the punches. I know that’s not your favorite answer.
It’s not mine either.
I know you think some people are just lucky while others aren’t.
But is it possible that some people can control some aspects of their life?
That a guy who learned to weld might have a better chance of being employed than someone with equal experience and education that doesn’t know how to weld?
Is the welder just lucky or did he alter what life is throwing in his direction?
This quote, attributed to Roman philosopher Seneca, says, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”
Have A Plan
If you don’t have a plan for your life don’t worry. Life has one for you. If you’re not happy with that plan then perhaps you should make your own plan.
What do you want to accomplish in life? What will you do when everything goes wrong?
No plan? Then there’s nothing to prevent life from making a bad situation worse.
Some Final Thoughts
When life gives you lemons make lemonade. For many people that’s easier said than done.
Most people are stuck with the lemons and no lemonade recipe. Or, in other words, stuck with lemons without a plan to make lemonade
This quote, attributed to Roman philosopher Seneca, says, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.”

Be prepared. Be prepared.
