I strictly believe that tourists will never learn, and we will keep having these incidents in our national parks.

Wildlife and tourists don't mix, and there is a deep history to evidence this. Unfortunately, no matter what we do to prevent people from approaching wildlife, nothing seems to deter them.

I was scrolling through TikTok the other day and came upon a video from a week ago, taken by a woman named Lauren Munoz. It shows a tourist getting a little too close to a bighorn sheep in Glacier National Park. Watch the TikTok below.

As you can see from the short clip, a bighorn sheep is walking through a parking lot when one tourist decides he wants to get up close and personal, and the animal lets him know that's not the best idea. Trust me, getting hit by a bighorn sheep is not a feeling you want to experience.

Luckily no one was hurt, and the sheep left the parking lot, but this is another case of tourists thinking our national parks are massive petting zoos.

Montana has had multiple cases of tourists being gored by bison in Yellowstone National Park over the past few months. It's been shocking to see so many videos of people going off trail and trying to pet these wild creatures.

If you don't know, you are to keep at least 25 yards between you and wildlife like bighorn sheep, bison, deer, and elk, and at least 100 yards if it's a bear or wolf.

If you are visiting a national park, please be aware and educate people if you see this happening. If they don't listen, you will probably get a great video to show others what not to do.
