This national park is gorgeous during the summer but can be even more special during the winter months. You will have to experience the magic yourself.

Thrillist came out with a list of the Best National Parks To Visit During the Winter, and to no one's surprise, one of Montana's two national parks landed on the list. If you are thinking that Yellowstone will be on the list, think again. The park they chose as one of the best to visit during the winter is Glacier National Park in Northwest Montana.

Glacier National Park gets a lot of fo praise during the summer with all of its hiking trails, scenic drives, and vast wildlife. Glacier National Park is just as special during the winter as well. Glacier National Park has many trails for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and you can even go backcountry camping still. One of the most scenic roads, Going-To-The-Sun Road, in Glacier National Park will be closed during this time, but there is still plenty of places to go.

My brother used to go into Glacier National Park during the winter to go hiking, and he told me the experience is one of a kind. If you and your friends love the winter and want to make a fun trip, and have never had the experience of checking out Glacier National Park, why not go?

Who wouldn't want to see the Northern Lights while camping out in one of the underrated national parks in the nation? Don't miss out.
