Senator Jon Tester today hailed the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ decision to approve Montana’s bipartisan Medicaid expansion plan that will provide access to health insurance to 70,000 low-income Montanans:

“Once again bipartisan collaboration triumphs over the folks on the fringes.  No Montanan should be denied access to health care and today’s decision ensures our friends, family, and neighbors can live healthy lives.”

Montana’s Medicaid expansion plan was passed by the state legislature and signed into law by Governor Steve Bullock earlier this year.  The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has been reviewing Montana’s Medicaid Expansion plan since September.
