The Pentagon has released the names of 30 American troops who were killed when a rocket-propelled grenade downed their Chinook helicopter in Afghanistan last weekend The attack represented the biggest single day loss of military personnel America has suffered during the nearly ten-year Afghanistan war.  Overall, 1648 Americans have died in the conflict.
