“It’s a sad day whenever we lose another voice in the journalism community,” said John S. Adams a former reporter for the Independent who is raising alarm over how Lee Enterprises handled the digital history of the Missoula Independent.
After a year-long court battle over wanting to take a peek at some state documents, the Missoula Independent is stuck having to foot the bill for their court fees even though they won the right to look at the documents in question.
The main point of today’s exercise is not to focus on one party over another. Instead use it as an example to examine views that you don’t necessarily agree with.
