The Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming have introduced 42 new badges that are designed to help girls to choose how they want to experience and influence the world.
The announcement came late last week that the ‘Boy Scouts of America’ officially changed their name to ‘Scouts-BSA’, however the Girl Scouts have retained their ‘girls only’ identity.
Girls in Montana will soon be able to join Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts all the way to the rank of Eagle Scout, according to an announcement made on Wednesday by the Boy Scouts of America.
The Girl Scout Cookie season for Girl Scouts of Montana and Wyoming begins Friday.
These sought after tastes of heaven will be available several ways in the coming weeks:
· Girl Scouts will be taking pre-orders for cookies February 5 – February 28, with delivery in late March/early April
· Cookies can be ordered online from a Girl Scout from February 5 – April 10

State lawmakers in Indiana were recently presented with a resolution to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the Girl Scouts organization and honor the positive influence the group has had on American women. Representative Bob Morris, a Republican from Fort Wayne, was the only representative to refuse to sign, citing a belief that the Girl Scouts is a “radicalized organization.”
