Driving condition have been difficult for a large portion of northeast Montana on Monday. Falling snow and very gusty winds are creating low visibility in many counties. Advisories are still in effect until Monday evening.

Some dangerous, gusty winds will affect a large portion of Montana this weekend - all the way from Cut Bank down to Livingston, and many places in between. This could make travel difficult at times.

Several counties in northern Montana are experiencing dangerous travel conditions due to dense fog Thursday morning. An advisory is in effect for the following areas until 11am Thursday.

Monday night and Tuesday morning are looking to be extremely windy in northwest Montana with gusts up to 75 MPH in some locations. Several counties are under a weather warning, and travelers need to use caution.

More snow is headed toward Montana, and will affect the SW border of Montana and Idaho for most of the day on Tuesday. Just in time for ski season! Up to 6 more inches of snow is expected, after a snowy weekend.

We all know skiing has become a very expensive sport. Lift ticket prices have increased dramatically across the country, and ski hills are more crowded than ever. However, Montana still has a couple of excellent ski hills who have landed on a 'Most Affordable in the U.S.' list.

Portions of Montana will be heavily affected by the next storm front. Higher elevations on the Montana/Idaho border could see up to 10" of heavy snow. Travel could be impacted, especially in the overnight hours. East Glacier will also be impacted.

By Tuesday night, several high elevation locations in Montana will be covered in snow from a classic, powerful Spring storm. Mountain passes and back country areas will be difficult to navigate with up to a foot of heavy, wet snow piling up.

Spring rain and heavy, wet snowmelt are prompting new flooding issues in parts of Montana. Mountain streams and flatland rivers are both experiencing flooding problems. With over a foot more of new snow expected to fall in many (high elevation) places across Montana, flood warnings should be taken very seriously.

After weeks of desperately needing more snowfall, central and north central Montana got just that. Now that temperatures across the state are forecasted to be much warmer suddenly, flooding of creeks and streams is now the issue.
