American Legion

Since I get to be in Glasgow for Veterans Day, that means I also have the great honor of hosting our statewide radio talk show from my home VFW Post earlier that same morning! As an Iraq, Afghan veteran I am also a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. While my home is in Billings, my home VFW Post is in Glasgow (the Fort Peck Post).

Veterans Day may be an officially recognized holiday, but many veterans don't get a chance to enjoy the holiday. A bill being heard before the Montana Legislature would make sure that Montana veterans get the day off from work.

The American Legion will hold its annual Memorial Day parade in downtown Bozeman, Monday, May 30.

In honor of Memorial Day, Gallatin Post 14 of the American Legion is hosting a parade, free pancake breakfast and memorial service this Monday, May 25.

Thursday night starting at 6, downtown at the American Legion you can see the only Montana showing of "Ride for Lance" the ride to honor a fallen Navy Seal. Chief Petty Officer Lance Vaccaro, a United States Navy SEAL, gave his life for his country in 2008...

Hope And The Holidays is a local group comprised of the Marine Corp league, Lions Club, Kiwanis and the American Legion. They get together each year to gather toys and gifts for newborns to teenagers for the Holidays. They provide assistance to children and families in Gallatin,Park, Madison, Sweetgrass and Broadwater counties...

In studio this morning I have the American Legion Post 30 from Belgrade coning in. Happy 60th Birthday to County Commissioner  Steve White, he will be in at 830, Jennifer Bordy talks Law after 9 and Tom Egelhoff will be here as well. And it's my 23rd Anniversary today, Love you Barbie...
