In honor of Memorial Day, Gallatin Post 14 of the American Legion is hosting a parade, free pancake breakfast and memorial service this Monday, May 25.

Join the American Legion for breakfast from 7 - 9 a.m. at Post 14 in downtown Bozeman (225 E. Main St). Eggs, pancakes, sausage and coffee will be served at no cost (donations are encouraged).

Bozeman’s sixth annual Memorial Day Parade begins at 9:30 a.m. It will proceed down Main Street from Seventh Avenue to Church Street. Gold Star families, who have lost family members in service to their country, will be honored at the front steps of the Gallatin County Courthouse. Any veteran wishing to walk or ride in the parade can meet at the Bozeman High parking lot on Main Street at 8:45 a.m. Monday.

After the parade, participants will assemble at the Vietnam Memorial Wall at Sunset Hills Cemetery for a memorial service starting at 11 a.m. The service will include a flyover, an honor guard, the playing of “Taps,” a bagpiper, a Gold Star family salute and services to honor military veterans.
