Montana Is Gold Compared To “The Hellhole of the Pacific”.
I would consider myself someone who likes adventure. A person who is up for a good road trip to places I have never heard of, but drive every mile with high hopes. It takes a lot to really disappoint me. But perhaps I understand why some people from Washington are moving to our beautiful state of Montana.
There is one Washington town you couldn't pay me to live in. In fact, you probably couldn't pay me to ever go back to. No offense.
Aberdeen, Washington. Aka "The Hellhole of the Pacific" and "The Port of Missing Men".
Now this town is famous for 3 things. 90's Grunge, Wrestling, and MURDER.
Aberdeen is the home town of the famous late grunge rocker, Kurt Cobain. In fact, when you come into the town the sign says "come as you are", a hit single from the famous "Nevermind" album that released in 1992.
The second thing that came from Aberdeen was famous WWE Wrestler Bryan Danielson. Born in 1981, Bryan took the stage name of "Daniel Bryan" from 2009-2021 while active in the WWE.
The last thing that is apparently note worthy about the unmaintained town is it was home to Billy Gohl. Gohl was rumored to have killed more that 130 men and tossing their bodies in the river. Convicted of 2 murders.
As far as ever returning to this town, definitely not on my list of things to do. If anyone from Aberdeen has moved to Montana, you know what? Good for you! Get out of that place running. Now of course this is all my personal opinion, but if you run into someone in Montana who says they are from Aberdeen, Washington, please welcome them.
