Marines Standing Guard At Schools

Marines have stood as guards at some of the most hostile places around the world.  There are even stories of Marines guarding the gates of heaven.  A few Marines around the United States have taken on a new guard duty.  They are standing guard at elementry schools.

The Marines do not have guns or weapons.  They are simply standing guard for peace of mind.  They are making school children and parents feel safer.

In 29 Palms California Marines are standing over 26 candles to honor the Sandy Hook Victims.

As a former Marine I would say this is the best guard duty a Marine could ever stand.
