Man Gets Month in Jail For Breaking Son’s Arm
BOZEMAN, Mont. (AP) — A 19-year-old Three Forks man has been sentenced to a month in jail for breaking his infant son's arm last year.
The Associated Press reports Bryce Alan Duval also was given a three-year deferred sentence and can petition the court after 18 months to dismiss the charge.
A tearful Duval told District Judge Mike Salvagni that he realizes he did a terrible thing and he hates himself for it.
Duval was charged with felony assault on a minor on Oct. 8, after he brought his 27-day-old son to Bozeman Deaconess Hospital with a broken arm and a bruise on his abdomen. He pleaded guilty to felony criminal endangerment in March.
Duval plans to marry the child's mother in July.
