It’s Possible! Can Montana Win The American Song Contest Competition?
Who knows? Maybe the power of Big Sky Country will help drive this man to the finals of this show.
The American Song Contest is going into its final week of televising qualifiers before they gather the top qualifiers to compete in the semi-final round in May. If you don't know what the American Song Contest is, it's a TV competition where every state has a singer/songwriter perform an original song live, and a jury and the public decide who moves on.
We did a whole story on Montana's competitor/artist Jonah Prill when the show was about to debut. Jonah Prill is out of Billings, Montana, and debuted his song, Fire It Up during the second week of qualifiers. Jonah Prill wasn't the judge's pick to move on to the semi-final round, but he qualified through the public vote. That's right! He beat out singers and artists from New York, Oregon, and other states to move on.
So what's next for Jonah Prill? Well, he will either compete in the semi-final round on Monday, April 25th, or on Monday, May 2nd, with twenty-six other state competitors. If he makes the Top 10, he will then compete in the finals!
So does Jonah Prill have a chance at winning The American Song Contest? Possibly. If we can all tune in and help vote our guy into the finals. His song Fire It Up is definitely in the style of today's country music and is something you could easily hear on the radio.
Good luck Jonah, and keep making Montana proud!
