Family Dog Randomly Shot in Belgrade Neighborhood
Last Thursday afternoon, a family dog was shot by an unknown person for no apparent reason. The dog was in it's own backyard, in a Belgrade neighborhood just north of Belgrade High School.
The dog is alive and is recovering at home after being treated by a vet.
The dog was apparently shot with a .22 caliber bullet around 5pm.
There is a $500 reward being offered for information leading to the arrest of whomever is responsible for this heinous act of violence.
The dog was NOT chasing livestock or causing any other sort of trouble that might prompt such an event. Again, this happened in a residential neighborhood just north of Belgrade High School.
If you know anything about this crime, please contact the Belgrade Police Department at (406) 388-4262.
