Bozeman, Today Is One Of The Best Days Of The Year, Here’s Why.
Mmmm, Bacon.
There is a saying out there that everything is better with bacon and I'll be honest, I tend to agree. While there are certainly folks out there that aren't fans, most red-blooded Americans are, and why wouldn't we be? Bacon = Delicious
Well, here's some good news.
Today is Bacon Day. Which means we're almost obligated to have some sort of dish with bacon in it, right? As the story goes, "Bacon Day" was created by a couple of folks after watching an episode of The Simpsons where Homer says "Is it Bacon Day?" The rest is history and a day was born. While bacon is still extremely popular breakfast meat, over the years we've seen it grow in popularity. From Bacon Cheeseburgers to Chocolate Covered Bacon, bacon is big business across America.
So how popular is bacon in Montana?
I'll be honest, I was rather surprised to see the ranking compared to the other states as far as the popularity of bacon goes. Apparently here in Montana, we can either take it or leave it. Montana ranks 27th out of the 50 states when it comes to the love of bacon according to zippia.com
Montana is certainly becoming more diverse in culinary creations, especially in the cities of Bozeman and Missoula, with lots of "healthy" options, and folks looking to eat "clean", which could explain the lower ranking. However, if you love bacon, good news, you still have lots of options.
Here in Bozeman, there are several fantastic restaurants that are serving up bacon for breakfast. Places like the Western Cafe, Main Street Over Easy, Jam, Cateye Cafe, and Storm Castle Cafe just to name a few. Of, if you're looking for an amazing Bacon Cheeseburger, you certainly can't go wrong with Burger Bob's, Backcountry Burger Bar, University Burger, or Montana Ale Works.
Whatever you choose, remember everything in moderation. However, Bacon Day only comes once a year, so get out there and live it up, plus, with only a couple of days left in 2021, you might as well enjoy it before we start those healthy New Year's Resolutions.
