Would You Kill a Baby?

Killing a baby is wrong. That is one of the main reasons I am against abortions... Yet last week on Dominick in the Morning our "Question of the Week" was:If you went back in time and in front of you was six-month-old Hitler, would you kill this baby?

Most of the people I talked to about this said NO they would not kill baby Hitler. I would kill him... I think. Six million Jews and millions of soldiers who fought and died in World War II would still be alive. I hate violence in almost any form, but I really think, as Mr. Spock said in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few or the one..so BABY HITLER MUST DIE!

But what if you did that unthinkable thing and killed this baby that would grow up and be a monster? What if  things were worse? That's what some people told me about the Hitler question. Killing Hitler as a child might mean another person would rise up in Germany and be worse. How would I answer that?

I thought about that for a long time and came up with my answer: Yes, I would kill baby Hitler. It's worth a shot.
