Let's take a trip down memory lane, regardless of your age. If you've lived in the Bozeman area most of your life or your entire life, what things do you remember most fondly? Better yet...are any of them still here?

Your next door neighbor friend? Learning to ski? Your first job? Your first date? (Bonus points if the business is still around.)

Full disclosure: I didn't grow up here, but it's been 30 years. Far more than half my life and being a young person in Bozeman was pretty great.

Rural southwest Montana had been a part of my life every year since I was old enough to hold a fly rod. It wasn't until much later that my family made the move for good. Often, I have thoughts of what my college years would have been like had I attended UCSD, UCSB or someplace similar...that was the plan.

Well, instead of just spending every summer in Montana...we made the move for good. And the rest is history. Since then, there have been so many memories made in Bozeman that will be with me until I die.

Spending some time (with a cold beer) thinking about my younger years, the memories start to pile up. Real, important, growing up stuff.

Learning to drive (Madison County dump road south of Cameron). My first real boyfriend. My first REAL job. Graduations. Learning to ski (at age 16). Learning to properly cast a flyrod (at age 6 or 7). Camping on the Madison or up Hyalite (before there were reservations required). Keggers up Bridger. Playing folf at Bohart. The list goes on.

So take a minute...what are some of YOUR favorite memories of growing up around the Bozeman area?
