VIDEO: Bison Goring At Yellowstone National Park

With the gates to Yellowstone National Park, barely open, a bison goring was the last thing on many people's minds. But it seems such incidents have become an inevitability in the past few years; whether it is Yellowstone National Park or another national park, it seems to happen at least once.

A 34-year-old man from Colorado was with his family near the Giant Geyser at Old Faithful when a bull bison charged his family. The man did have an arm injury and was taken to Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Reddit user asthmatic-beatboxer shared this video he captured, showing the bison taking charge of its space. This video is a bit graphic as it does involve a small child. You can check out asthmatic-beatboxer's video below.

I do understand that there are going to be times when you are in your "yes you can walk here" area at national parks, but there is always a chance that one of God's creatures would also like to walk there. With that being said, visitors should take every precaution to let them have that area.

This isn't the first bison goring at Yellowstone National Park; an earlier goring happened on June 1st.

Yellowstone, along with other parks, do give people a warning prior to entering the park. Now whether these visitors take that advice is completely on them. I have said it before, phones these days have amazing cameras on them, use the zoom and save yourself the possibility of injury.

We are happy to know that there were no fatalities but want to encourage people to continue to use safety, caution, and common sense when it comes to visiting national parks.
