Fixed speed limits were reinstated on Memorial Day weekend 1999. After the new Speed Limits were established, interstates fatal accidents went up 111%.
Texas has outdone us passed a bill in the House to increase the speed limit to 85mph! Back when Montana didn't have actual speed limits on highways, I assumed the prudent speed was around 85mph, but we changed that because it just wasn't safe. How do you feel about Texas making this change, and how long do you think it will last if passed?
