People around the world will witness this spectacular event, but most Montanans are going to miss out.

Keep your fingers crossed for clear weather this weekend because the first lunar eclipse of the year is going to happen. It's going to be a Super Blood Moon eclipse and yes, it's supposed to be visible in Montana.

"It's hard when you're watching your house be almost burned," said Case, "and people are taking pictures. It's hard."

In case you somehow missed it, there will be a solar eclipse that will be visible on Monday, August 21st around 1130AM in Bozeman.

A solar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun, thereby totally or partly obscuring the image of the Sun.

A full lunar eclipse is set to occur early Tuesday morning (late Monday night), April 15. University of Montana Astronomy Professor Dan Reisenfeld says that Montanans are at a great longitude to view the event.
