Should Bozeman Tenants Get A Pass For This Annoyance? I Say, Yes.
With so many new people in the area and people constantly moving to try and save themselves from getting jabbed with another rent increase, keep in mind that you may need to review your street maintenance schedule.
I have moved three times since moving here in hopes of keeping my rent under $2000 a month. One thing I always make sure of when renting is that I actually have a parking lot. The whole off-street parking is not for me. 1) I am lazy and don't like the whole "try and find a spot to park to not get a ticket" and 2) I would never remember what days I "can't park" on that road.
Yes, it may be as simple as putting it in my calendar but whatever, I'll just make sure I don't rent a place with off-street parking. BUT, with rentals being hard to find at a reasonable price you just have to kind of take what you can get.
This Reddit user fell victim to the good ol "street citation".
So to help the rest of you, so you don't have this happen to you, here is the Code Of Ordinances:
Now for me, this is just a bunch of words. Just tell me when I can't park there and it should be ONE day a week. If your apartment is charging you $2000 for rent, you shouldn't have to drive around the block 50 times to find a spot to park. You should be able to leave your vehicle there for 6 out of 7 days.

The apartments with off-street parking should just give their tenants a pass for their vehicle windows and those tenants should be able to park with no tickets for longer than 72 hours. I mean...you live there for longer than 72 hours so you should be able to park your vehicle as long as you please.
Do you have off-street parking? How much of a hassle is it when trying to find a spot to park on cleaning and NON-street cleaning days?
