On Friday, June 5th at 4pm in Bogert Park, Bozeman joined cities across the nation for the National Day of Action for Black Lives.

The event was sponsored by the MSU BSU (Black Student Union), the Montana Racial Equity Project and Bozeman United for Racial Justice.

All attendees are required to bring a face mask and encouraged to bring hand sanitizer.

Per the Montana Racial Equity Project:

We are advocating for freedom from police and the investment in people of color, support for Black and Native Bozeman, and that Bozeman businesses end discrimination, stop turning a blind eye to racism in their spaces, and engage in Education and training on anti-racism and anti-oppression.

Last Sunday, May 31st, approximately 2,000 people rallied in Bozeman in a peaceful demonstration from Bogert Park to downtown Bozeman. See photos from Sunday's rally in Bozeman HERE.
