If you want to see a potentially spectacular sight, then tonight is the night to check out the sky.

Monday night, August 12, the Perseid meteor shower is expected to light up the night and continue through Tuesday morning.

When the shower hits its peak, there will be at least 100 meteors an hour across the night sky.

Monday evening's weather should include clear skies, so grab your binoculars, telescopes and take in the Perseid meteor shower.
