Yellowstone, the new TV series drama starring Kevin Costner and filmed partially in Montana, will premiere in Missoula this Thursday, June 14 at a special screening approximately one week before it hits television screens.

Costner plays John Dutton, whose family ranch is at the frontier of America’s first national park.

The Montana Film Office and the Paramount Network will screen the first two episodes of the 10-episode season. The event will also feature an appearance by Gil Birmingham, who plays Thomas Rainwater in Yellowstone and is known for roles on film and TV such as Hell or High Water and House of Cards.

Parts of Yellowstone were filmed at several locations in Montana, including a ranch near Darby, the capitol building in Helena and on the Crow Reservation. Production included several crew members hired from Montana, and the first year of filming brought an estimated economic impact of $1.4 million to the Bitterroot Valley.

The public is invited to attend the screening. Space is limited, and seats will be provided first-come, first-served.

Yellowstone premieres on the Paramount Network June 20.
