Montana Man Sentenced to 130 Years in Prison for Rape
HELENA, Mont. (AP) — A Montana judge has sentenced a Helena man to more than 100 years in prison for raping 8-year-old girls.
The Independent Record reports Wallis Dean Sinz was convicted last year by a jury of two counts of sexual intercourse without consent and three counts of sexual assault.
Judge Kathy Seeley sentenced Sinz to 100 years in the Montana State Prison with 50 years suspended for both counts of sexual intercourse without consent and 10 years each for each sexual assault charge, for a total of 230 years before the suspensions.
Seeley determined that the sentences for sexual intercourse without consent will run consecutively and the sexual assault sentences, while running concurrent to each other, will be served after the sexual intercourse charges.
Sinz isn't eligible for parole for 30 years.
