Missoula Police Investigate ‘The Case of The Ballpark Burglar’
Missoula police are investigating after a robbery that occurred at the Osprey Stadium on Sunday evening.
Public Information Officer Travis Welsh said the incident occurred in the Osprey players locker room.
"At about 8 o'clock Sunday night, we got a report that an adult female had entered the locker room of the local minor league ball club and took some items belonging to the players," Welsh said. "She fled after being chased out by members of the baseball team."
The woman was identified as 50 year-old Cynthia Carmichael-Navarro.
"The women was located a short distance from the ballpark, and still had some of those items in her possession, and she was taken into custody without incident and charged with felony burglary," he said.
Carmichael-Navarro was placed in the Missoula County Jail on $50,000 bond. She will appear in Missoula Justice Court at 2:30 p.m. on Monday afternoon.
