Minimum Wage in Montana is Increasing Next Month
If you're making minimum wage in Montana, here's some good news: you're getting a raise come January 1st. Not a huge one, mind you, but better than nothing.
Montana minimum wage is set to rise to $8.50 an hour in 2019. That's twenty cents higher than the current minimum wage, $8.30, and more than a dollar higher than the federal minimum wage, which is $7.25.
The minimum wage in Montana is consistently adjusted for inflation, in accordance with Montana law. So hopefully, the slight raise is a bit of a help for minimum wage workers in Montana. Right now Washington DC holds the highest minimum wage at $13.25, while Wyoming and Georgia are tied for the lowest at $5.15.
