On January 17, 2012, at approximately 3:00 a.m., an attempted armed robbery occurred at a motel on the 800 block of Wheat Drive in Bozeman.

A male suspect entered the motel lobby with his face covered and pointed a handgun at the clerk and demanded money from the till.

The suspect was unsuccessful in obtaining any money and fled the motel to a waiting 4 door passenger car being driven by another male.

The suspect vehicle was last seen headed towards North 7th Avenue.

Bozeman Police Officers responded immediately, but were unsuccessful in locating the suspects.

The suspects are described as:

Suspect:  White male, under 25 years old, 5’8” to 5’9”, slim build, wearing dark colored clothing.

Driver: White male, with short dark hair.

There is a reward available for information leading to the identification or arrest of these subjects.

Local motels are encouraged to review their security procedures and call 9-1-1 with any suspicious activity or persons.
