Meat Inspector Applying Own Rules to Montana Meat
A meat inspector has been accused of being unfair to small Montana meat processors. Montana processors have bee complaining for over a year they have been treated unfairly. The federal meat inspector was applying his own rules causing the meat processors spend money unnecessarily. The small Montana companies finally got this problem looked into.
Now, the Montana legislative committee is adding its support to a request for an external investigation to address allegations. The Economic Affairs Interim Committee also voted to ask the Food Safety and Inspection Service for personal apologies to businesses that were treated unfairly.
