Comic book movies and television shows have been popular hits with viewers worldwide. They are usually from exotic locations and have beautiful sets, but has the state of Montana ever been involved? Yes, we have.

I am an avid comic book fan and did some digging on finding out if Montana has ever been incorporated into comic book history. The answer is that Montana has an interesting history with Marvel Comics

First off, there is a comic book villain named Montana, who was a constant thorn in the side of superheroes like Spider-Man and Daredevil. The villain's fictional history says he was born in Bozeman, Montana, and is an expert marksman, and skilled in using a lasso. Of course, a villain from Montana is good with a lasso.

A fun fact about Montana is that he made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut in Spider-Man Homecoming back in 2017. Montana's real name is Jackson Brice and portrayed by Logan Marshall-Green in the film. Sadly, we never got to see him be called Montana or use his signature lasso. Brice, instead, gets obliterated by the Vulture during the film.

Another sweet Marvel Comic fact with Montana is back in 2007, Marvel released a series called Avengers: The Initiative. This comic series took place right after Civil War, and the government assigned a superhero team to every state to protect citizens.

The team assigned to Montana was called The Freedom Force. The team's home base was in Billings, Montana and most of their missions dealt with long-time running outer space villains called The Skrulls.

Even though Montana might not show up a lot in comic books, they have a history with Marvel Comics.
