Montana is a lot different than California. First, let's look at the homeless population. You can't visit any large city in California without witnessing homelessness. Montana has a lot to offer and is a breath of fresh air if you've lived in a large city. Even the largest cities in Montana are tiny to compared to most other states. Let's face it, Montana is a beautiful state, and it's no surprise that people want to live here. Winters may be rough on occasion, but summers in Montana are the best.
