Do You Love Your Costco Membership? This Might Change Your Mind
Hopefully, this move will be the last one for many years because people won't be happy about dropping more cash.
If there is one store in Montana that locals love and will shop for goods, clothing, and food, it's Costco. Costco is a fantastic store that carries everything you could imagine, and if you have a big family, it's a great place to pick up groceries. You can save a lot of money shopping at Costco.
If you want to shop at Costco, you need a membership card. You pay a yearly fee, and there are different price points. The membership card is currently $60, and the Executive Membership is $120. The Executive level has a ton of perks, but most folks opt for the cheaper membership.
These prices might not seem outrageous, but a few years ago, they raised the membership fees by $5, and it caused a major uproar. People were furious that they were raising the membership fees.
Well, we have some more bad news.
Eat This, Not That reports that during an earnings call, the CEO of Costco announced that membership fees would be raised in only a matter of time. Costco didn't say when their prices will rise, but it's in their plans for the future of Costco.
Costco could raise membership fees as little as $5, but it could be worse. We won't know until Costco makes that decision.
Listen, I love my Costco membership, but when does it become too expensive? Costco is a huge help to families and businesses, but this will have backlash.
