For those Montanans who are fans of the popular TV series "Yellowstone," we've got some good news for you.

The show has been on hiatus for some time and many are wondering when and if it will be back. While we don't have the exact date, it does appear the show will be coming back and they're currently looking for extras to appear in future episodes.

So, if you've ever wanted to break into acting, or you just want to have a cool experience to brag to your family and friends about, this might be your big chance.

Yellowstone has become not only one of the most popular shows on TV, but a cultural phenomenon as the series has brought millions of dollars to the Montana economy through tourism and merchandise sales branded around the series.

For those not familiar with the show, it is based around the Dutton Family which just so happens to own the "Yellowstone Ranch" which is the biggest in the state.  The fictional ranch is located in the Paradise Valley, although the home and outbuildings used are in Darby at the Chief Joseph Ranch.

Where can you audition to be an extra on "Yellowstone"?

There will be a casting call in two locations here in Montana with the first happening in Sula, Montana on Tuesday, May 21st. For the Sula auditions, the show is looking for the following:

  • Males 18-30 years old
  • 125 to 140 lbs

The second round of auditions will be held in Missoula on Thursday, May 23rd. With the show looking for the following:

  • Upscale Restaurant Patrons
  • Waitstaff and Bartenders
  • Men in Suits
