For the past 127 years, this will be year 128, we have put all of our trust and faith into a fuzzy four-legged rodent. I suppose there are worse things we can put our faith in.

Now, I haven't done the math, but I would say that our favorite little groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil has been more accurate than the weather person we listen to every single day. Punxsutawney Phil has only seen his shadow 20 times and has not seen his shadow 107 times.

So what was Punxsutawney Phil's prediction for this year? Will we have an early spring or 6 more weeks of winter?

Apparently, according to that sweet little faced groundhog, who DID NOT see his shadow, we will have an early spring. This is only the 21st time (in now 128 years) that our furry friend has NOT seen his shadow. Now, I am no weather professional, but it does kind of seem like we have been having spring, here in Montana, for the last couple of weeks.

With Bozeman seeing temperatures in the high 40's, nearly 50 degrees for a week and a half straight, and some Montana towns breaking records with temps hitting 70 degrees in JANUARY, this year has been odd to put it simple.

Even our neighboring states have been seeing record high temperatures for the last week or so.

Do you trust Punxsutawney Phil? Will Montana have an early spring? There is snow in the forecast for the next week in the Bozeman area, but that snow is going to come with with warmer temps and a bit of rain. Or is our favorite little groundhog going to be way wrong this year?
