Over 60 years ago, back in 1962, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital opened its doors to treat children diagnosed with cancer. The longtime dream of entertainer Danny Thomas had finally come true.

Years earlier, when he was struggling, Thomas vowed to Saint Jude Thaddeus the patron saint of hopeless causes "Show me the way, and I will build you a shrine". Thomas, true to his word, worked tirelessly to establish St. Jude Hospital and over the last several decades, the research and care done within those walls has saved tens of thousands of children.

Each year, radio stations across the country have a two-day radiothon to raise money for the kids of St. Jude, and on February 1st and 2nd, 100.7 XL Country in Bozeman held their annual St. Jude "Country Cares" radiothon to help raise money for the kids of not only Montana but all over the world.

Montanans had a chance to become "Partners In Hope" with their monthly pledges going to help further the research taking place, as well as making sure that the kids of St. Jude and their families never have to pay for the care that they receive.

So how did we do?

In less than 48 hours, Montanans and a few of our surrounding neighbors raised more than 152 thousand dollars for the St. Jude Kids!  The final amount raised was 152,082 dollars. This will not only provide life-saving research and care, but St. Jude freely shares their research with hospitals all over the world.
