Our Montana summers can get pretty hot, as we all know. For example, this week we have been in a "heat advisory." These typically go into effect when temperatures are supposed to be over 100 for a couple of days in a row, and are meant to remind people that they will need extra fluids and to take precautions for heat illnesses.

Not knowing when to seek medical attention due to hot weather is more common than one may think. These easy steps help you to understand why you may be feeling sick, faint, or extremely tired.

One thing to keep in mind is to NEVER leave CHILDREN OR PETS in the car for long periods of time. Even short periods of time during these high temperatures can cause damage to people and pets.

As you can see, it takes hardly ANY time to become incredibly hot in a vehicle. Could you imagine if it was 100 degrees to start with? Heat can be deadly, as we all know, so it is extremely important to educate yourself and your family.
