Here’s a Really Great Way to Help the Red Lodge Community
If you're looking for a way to help Montanans that have been affected by flooding, you have quite a few options.
Since historic flooding ravaged Montana towns and forced Yellowstone National Park to temporarily close, several GoFundMe pages and other fundraising events have been created to help flood victims in Montana.
With help from local businesses, Operation H2GO for Montana delivered over 30,000 bottles of water to Montanans that were left without clean drinking water.
Red Lodge, Montana suffered some of the worst flooding when Rock Creek burst over its banks and flooded through many businesses and neighborhoods in town. The damage caused by flooding devastated many local businesses in Red Lodge, a small town that is economically dependent upon tourism. It is going to take a long time for businesses and residents to rebuild.
One of the greatest things about living in Montana is that people are always willing to help those in need. Many communities impacted by flooding have been overwhelmed by the support and fellow Montanans offering to help.
A fundraising event for the Red Lodge community is happening Saturday, June 25 in Bozeman, and it sounds like it's going to be a lot of fun. The Red Lodge hockey team will be at the Ressler Rink at the Gallatin County Fairgrounds in Bozeman on Saturday for a pick-up game for a good cause. All proceeds will go directly back to the community of Red Lodge.
