A team with plenty of experience dealing with Washington Grizzly Stadium will be making a return trip to Missoula this Saturday in round one of the FCS playoffs.

The South Dakota State Jackrabbits came to Missoula for the 2009 playoffs and were on the losing end of one of the most thrilling come-from-behind Grizzly wins of all time. Now, the Summit League Jackrabbits at 8-3 will travel to Missoula for their first round playoff game with a 1:00 p.m. kickoff.

University of Montana Athletic Director Kent Haslam was at the Press Box Sports Bar Sunday morning and heard the announcement.

"Montana, who could have a second round date with defending champion North Dakota State, will the he host school for South Dakota State and the Jackrabbits," the announcer said."It's going to be one of the better first round match-ups of this tournament."

"Hosting first round playoff games have become almost routine for fans here in Missoula, but we never want to take that opportunity for granted," Haslam said. "We've been playing playoff football since the Idaho State game, and I knew that just in dealing with the national advisory committee. We won three straight, the last two in impressive fashion, putting us in a position to host a playoff game."

Haslam said since the game will be played on Thanksgiving weekend and probably won't be a sellout, that ticket prices will be a bit lower for fans.

"Season ticket holders have until Tuesday at 4 o'clock to claim their tickets, and after that they will go up for sale to the general public," he said. "We'd like to get as many people as we possibly can to the game. The ticket prices will be a little more reasonable just because we can go off our lowest ticket prices of the season. All the ticket information is on our website.
