Gianforte Set Up or Just a Trump Loving Fool?
Yesterday on “Dominick in the Morning” Greg Gianforte was going to be my guest. He canceled. Gianforte, like other conservatives, are under attack by the mainstream media. In just the last few months we have seen people like Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, President Trump all become targets.
Conservative's are really starting to think the mainstream media is pushing fake news in order to destroy the Conservative movement.
On my talk show we were flooded with Bozeman callers saying Gianforte was being set up. I listen to the audio of this reporter yelling about his broken glasses; something just didn't feel right.
Gianforte made millions with his company. I've interviewed him, he is smart, so why would he on the day before the election body slam a reporter? Fox News was setting up for an interview with Gianforte when Ben Jacobs of the Guardian website walked up to him and started firing questions. Something happened and the reporter was attacked. Gianforte grabbed the reporter and, according to members of the Fox News crew, punched him in the face.
When Jacobs explained the story, but said he was body slammed. He talked about his glasses being broke, nothing about being punched in the face.
Gianforte released a statement saying the reporter grabbed his arm as he was turning and they fell on the floor
Three different versions of what happened. Something didn't feel right. I asked Bozeman attorney Jennifer Bordy about this, and she told me this happens all the time.
Sometimes three different eyewitnesses in a court case claim to have seen three different things.
The fact that three different groups are telling three different stories bothers me.
I began to understand that people are seeing things through the eyes of politics. Was it always like that?
Conservatives think this reporter set Gianforte up.
Liberals think Gianforte just lost his temper and President Trump is some how responsible for this.
Normal people don't know what to think.
The one thing I know for sure is we ALL think we are under attack.
We must all come together and move forward. Some group - Republicans, Democrats, somebody - must take the first step.
Even though Gianforte apologized to the reporter for what happened, I still don't know what happened. Only God knows what is in our hearts.
