Most roads in town are just wet, but higher elevations are seeing slick conditions after several inches of snow fell overnight in Gallatin County.

According to the National Weather Service:

WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON MDT TODAY FOR ELEVATIONS ABOVE 5500 FEET

  • LOCATIONS: BATTLE RIDGE PASS, BOZEMAN PASS, TARGHEE PASS, WEST YELLOWSTONE, BIG HOLE PASS, CHIEF JOSEPH PASS, MONIDA PASS, AND RAYNOLDS PASS.
  • TIMING: SNOW SHOWERS WILL GRADUALLY DIMINISH THROUGH THIS MORNING.
  • ACCUMULATIONS: ADDITIONAL SNOW ACCUMULATION THIS MORNING UP TO ONE INCH, PRIMARILY OVER THE MOUNTAINS.
  • REDUCED VISIBILITY AND ROADS COVERED WITH WET, HEAVY SNOW WILL CAUSE DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS, PRIMARILY EARLY THIS MORNING.
  • A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW MEANS THAT PERIODS OF SNOW WILL CAUSE PRIMARILY TRAVEL DIFFICULTIES.
